Hi Everyone.

Sorry it has been a few days since I’ve had major updates or posted any news. You may have noticed some new images to the gallery stream, but as the collection online gets bigger I am investigating new ways to more efficiently show you the works online (with faster download speeds) and a better way to overview the increasing number of works. You can expect to see some changes to the way the gallery is presented very soon.

I am of course adding new Borats to the set as quick as I can, but I have been pretty busy with setting up some of the backend for the site, getting some cool new rich-media elements together for members of the site, and adding the voting and feedback facilities that I have promised for a bit - sorry for the delays!

But mostly in this post I want to go over some new details I have firmed up about how the sale of originals will work exactly:

• Sales Will Begin June 1st - it will be possible to purchase a work outright for sure but I am also looking into the ability to place deposits on works to put them on hold, more details as the 1st approaches (this may or may not be something available).

• The original portraits will all be priced at $100us and range from 8″x10″ to 13″x19″ - the majority being larger, but the price will be the same for all of them.

• Works will come mounted on museum board and in a special protective sleeve. A special seal for the project and certificate of authenticity will come with each, along with a limited edition signed 999 Borats project poster.

• Each week 125 portraits will become available for purchase, this will continue weekly starting June 1st until the end of July for 8 consecutive weeks (the last will have 124).

• Members of 999borats.com will be given a 24 hour period in which to purchase the works (first dibs!) each week, so sign up if you want access to the best selection!
